MEXICO. 4 Escudos, 1742-MF. Philip V (1700-46). NGC MS-61.
Fr-9; Cal-type-53#248; cf.KM-135. The only example graded by either PCGS or NGC. An amazing coin with nearly full mirroring through the legends and satin toned surfaces across the central areas of the design. The flash and luster of the piece demand immediate attention, with the crispness of strike holding the viewers gaze long after a typically circulated and worn example would have become passé. A coin that begs for closer inspection, and has all the credentials to become the centerpiece of any collection of Spanish Colonial gold that it enters. NGC MS-61.

From The David O'Harrow Collection.

Estimate: $6000.00- $8000.00
