Celtic, Atrebates and Regni, Tincomarus, (c.20 BC-AD 10), gold Quarter Stater, 1.18g, 'Medusa' type, tinc in corded tablet, c above, a below, rev. facing head of Medusa (ABC 1076; Bean TIN3-3; VA 378-1; S.77), small amount of serration to periphery but a remarkably pleasing piece, struck up and toned, superb imagery on this, as struck and extremely fine, very rare, one of the finest known examples of this type.
