Celtic, Dobunni, Comux, (c.1-15? AD), base core of a contemporary forgery gold Stater, 3.79g, 'Tree' type, Dobunnic tree, pellet at base, rev. horse right, [co]mvx inverted and crescent above, wheel below, dispersed pellets in field (ABC 2054 var.; VA 1092-2 var.; S.385 var.), remarkably well preserved for base metal, a few marks but generally fields quite smooth, fine/very fine, excessively rare and possibly the only known base core of a Comux stater.
