Celtic, East Wiltshire, uninscribed coinage, (c.60-20 BC), gold Quarter Stater, 1.31g, 'Boxer' type, wreath with pelleted bar intersecting, abstract hair and face around with drapery, rev. horse right, charioteer's arms above, cogwheel below, dispersed symbols in field (ABC 2099; VA-; S.48), a fraction of porosity to obverse and some flatness to horse's head, a very good strike this, underlying tones, obverse surfaces pleasingly smooth, extremely fine, excessively rare.
