Celtic, Trinovantes and Catuvellauni, uninscribed coinage, (c.60-20 BC), silver Unit 1.22g, 'Lister's Celtic Head' type, bust right, with corded hair and moustache, small horse, ring-pellets, and various symbols before rev. horse right, wing motif and trefoils of pellets above, ring-pellet below, pelletal sun before (ABC 2478; VA 1540-1; S.-), die flaw to horse's head on reverse, a touch of irregularity to the flan, this piece, however, remarkably strong and in the highest quality silver, gentle underlying tones, extremely fine and as struck, extremely rare.
