Celtic, Trinovantes and Catuvellauni, Addedomaros (c.45-25 BC), gold Stater, 5.52g, 'Spiral' type, spiral wreath of six arms extending from three back to back crescents at centre, rev. horse right with ring pellet either side, cornucopia with attached bucranium? and surmounted by three pellets below, three horse muzzles above, inscription [addiidom] off-flan (ABC 2517; VA 1620-1; S.201), area of scraping to obverse and spot of delamination beneath horse, weakness to spirals otherwise some very pleasing detail with lustre to areas, this piece with an attractive golden tone, very fine, good very fine.
