Celtic, Trinovantes and Catuvellauni, Tasciovanus, (c.25 BC-AD 10), gold Quarter Stater, 1.38g, 'Quatrefoil' type, quatrefoil of corn ears, voided ovals in quarters and ring pellets at terminals, 'X' within, rev. horse right, three horse muzzles above, motif below (ABC 2583; VA-; S.220), visible flan split, obverse off centre, however, retaining a pleasing lustrous tone on this well struck piece, good very fine, nearly extremely fine, extremely rare.
