CHINA. Szechuan. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), ND (1901-08). PCGS MS-64+ Secure Holder.
L&M-345; K-143; Y-238; WS-0739B. VERY RARE variety with short spines on the right side of the dragon's body above his right foot. The only piece certified at this level, with two finer (MS65) at PCGS and NGC for the basic type. A spectacular example of this rarity, with rose, aqua and amber tone combining to produce a visual sensation. Profuse amounts of luster power through the clear tone, with brighter pools of undulating luster across the reverse fields. The coin features needle sharp details to the dragon; all of the scales are well delineated with crisp precision. A coin of incomparable aesthetic quality, and sure to be the centerpiece of the collection it enters. PCGS MS-64+ Secure Holder.
