Victoria "Inverted A/V" 50 Cents 1872-H VF35 PCGS, Heaton mint, KM6. A famous coin as a result of the blundered legend that used an upside down A letter punch in place of a V in the spelling of Victoria's name. Obviously, this error was quickly corrected, and the amount released into circulated limited, as all examples today are rare. The present piece, while circulated, remains rather wholesome in appearance, with no signs of abuse and only honest wear; it should find a very welcome home in an advanced collection of Canadian coinage.
Estimate: 1500-2000 USD
