Ferdinand VI gold 8 Escudos 1753 So-J AU53 NGC, Santiago mint, KM3, Onza-647. Lightly toned with partial underlying luster, pleasant orangish toning and attractive surface quality with no distracting contact marks. A difficult date to locate in higher grades since not represented in the La Luz shipwreck - only three finer coins, including a single one in Mint State - are listed for the date in NGC's census - thus very desirable in this charming quality.
