Essequibo & Demerary
British Colony - George III gilt-copper Proof 1/2 Stiver 1813 PR63 NGC, London mint, KM9a, Pridmore-30b. Superbly struck, with fully mirrored fields. Close examination reveals a few minor spots on the reverse and both sides show a light milky PVC-like residue. It's rather obvious that if the residue was removed, there would be sharp cameo contrast with frosted devices and brilliant proof fields. From the Coin Cabinet of Isaac Rudman
