Charles VII gold Royal d'or ND (1422-61) MS62 NGC, Fr-303. Obv. Crowned king standing facing holding two scepters on a field of lis. Rev. Cross fleurée with leaves, a quadrilobe in the center; all within a quadrilobe with lis at points and crowns in spandrels. A stunning example of this early gold issue from the House of Valois. The luster is full, and brilliant, and the surfaces free of notable flaws. The strike, while not bold, is nice for this early type and the flan round, with complete legends.
