Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel. Karl I Wildman Taler 1746-IBH MS64 NGC, Zellerfeld mint, KM883, Dav-2145, Welter-2719. An incredible example of the popular "Wildman" issue. The strike is above average for the issue, with the wildman figure particularly bold. A few light hairlines are noted and minor flan flaws. Argent-gray and golden-russet toning accent the fully lustrous surfaces. Overall, this is probably the nicest Taler of this type we have ever seen and the nicest example certified by NGC and PCGS.
