Central American Republic 8 Reales 1840/37 NG-MA MS64 NGC, Nueva Guatemala mint, KM4. The 1840/37 overdate variety, albeit not identified as such on the insert. Choice Uncirculated with sharply rendered features and full mint luster under most attractive golden patina. Only trivial handling marks prevent the Gem designation, yet a fully satisfying representative of this beautifully designed issue. Very rare and vastly desirable in this select grade, with only three finer (at MS65) currently listed in NGC's census.From the Nob Hill Collection
