Synod of Dort silver Medal 1619 MS63 NGC, 58mm, by Cornelius Wyntjes, MI-223/79, Eimer-100. A remarkable example of this issue struck to commemorate a synod in Dordrecht to consider the controversy of Arminianism in Protestant churches. The strike is as close to perfect as one could expect for such a large medal of this period and the antique cabinet tone is absolutely gorgeous.
