Java. Batavian Republic gold 1/2 Rupee 1801-Z MS63 NGC, Batavia (Jakarta) mint, Johan Anthonie Zwekkert as mintmaster, KM209, Sch-524. A rare issue in any condition and extremely rare in this state of preservation. A few stray ticks are visible under a glass as well as some very minor haymarking, but the surfaces are generally lustrous with lovely tone and well-struck devices.
