Head of Athena right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet pushed back on head, the bowl decorated with coiled serpent, hair in corkscrew curls / AΛEΞANΔPOY, Nike standing right, holding wreath in extended right hand and cradling stylis in left arm, trident head in left field, monogram in form of ax below left wing. Price 180. A magnificent, nearly medallic stater, perfectly centered on a broad, round flan and displaying lustrous fields that set off the devices beautifully. NGC Choice MS★ 5/5 - 5/5.
