Friedland. Albrecht Wallenstein gold Ducat 1631 MS63 NGC, Jitschin mint, Sebastian Steinmueller as mintmaster, Fr-145, Poley-104, Meyer-282, Nohejlová-Prátová 45. A very rare emission of the Duchy of Friedland and particularly so in this stunning level of preservation. The surfaces exhibit full mint bloom accentuating the sharpness of the devices and remain nearly devoid of abrasions or friction. Following the elevation of Friedland to a duchy in 1627, this piece was produced at the midpoint between the granting of the mint right in 1628 and Wallenstein's assassination in 1634.
