Central American Republic 8 Reales 1831 CR-E AU53 NGC, San Jose mint, KM22. A nicely toned and well preserved coin displaying strong mint luster and attractive surface quality, with slight high-point wear defining the grade. The very rare "E" assayer variety of this very scarce one-year issue, key to completing the highly popular series of C. A. R. 8 Reales and very desirable in this pleasant preservation: a single example in Mint State has been currently certified by NGC an MS61 piece and the present example is in fact the third finest in that company's current census.From the Pura Vida Collection, Part I
