Republic white-metal Specimen Pattern Onza 1850-JB SP62 PCGS, San Jose mint, KMPn3. Lustrous Uncirculated with full mint luster and mild surface abrasions preventing the Choice designation. A lovely example of this rare pattern struck in white metal from dies engraved by W. Wyon - most of the few specimens seen having corrosion spots and/or mishandling evidence. This handsomely engraved die was never used to strike regular circulation issues, which is truly a shame! Very rare and eminently desirable in this fine quality.From the Pura Vida Collection, Part I
