Republic gold 4 Escudos 1837 FP-A AU58 PCGS, Quito mint, KM19, FR-4. Quite attractive for the assigned grade with strong mint luster, only mild surface abrasions and just a tad of wear on the higher points. One of the finest extant of the rarer variety with an "A" or "V" placed in the drapery on the obverse and also an entirely satisfying example of this rare type. Very rare and most desirable in this enchanting quality.
