Mary gold Angel ND (1553-54) XF45 NGC, Fr-194, S-2490. pomegranate mintmarks, A wonderful example from this fleeting issue that was struck in Mary's name alone, with slightly porous surfaces in a handsome shade of amber-gold. The devices are all fully-struck and bold while the centers feature somewhat softer detail. A scarcely encountered specimen, well-preserved for the type and an important piece of historical coinage.
