George III Specimen Pattern Bank of England Dollar 1804 SP65 PCGS, KM-Pn66 ESC-1961. This gem pattern, featuring the Collar of the Garter prominently on the reverse, offers a range of hues across the palette, with an outstanding underlying luster. Like their much more common counterpart dollars displaying a seated Britannia, this piece has been overstruck upon an uncertain Spanish colonial 8 Reales of Charles III, interestingly enough dated 1776---a popular and desirous date for American collectors.
Estimate: 5000-7500 USD
