Victoria Crown 1845 MS64 NGC, KM741, S-3882. A simply beautiful specimen featuring the young head of Victoria with obverse surfaces that exhibit silvery-gray patina that brightens as it extends toward the outer register, creating a perfect golden and teal ring that frames the portrait. The reverse, while similar in tone, contains far more color that resides within the protected areas, thus providing a sensational backdrop for the crowned shield. A few minor wisps are present and noted in the grade, but ultimately do little to detract from the appeal of this offering. Rare this nice and well-deserving of attention. Krause catalog price(s) for this item: $145 in VF, $1050 in EF, $2750 in UNC.
Estimate: 5000-6000 USD
