Philip V gold 8 Escudos 1738/7 Mo-MF AU58 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM148, Onza-433. The scarcer overdate variety. An attractive coin, with strong luster throughout, limited surface handling marks and only slight high-point friction preventing the Mint State designation. Rare and desirable in this quality, and superior to the Rudman specimen recently sold by us (Heritage Auctions 8/2015, lot 31071 for $4,600).
