Maximilian Pattern "Small Letters" Peso 1866-Mo MS63 NGC, Mexico city mint, KM-Pn100. Premium surfaces for the grade, displaying minimal evidence of contact, with light mottled variegated pastel tones on both sides and evident underlying silvery luster. As is seen on essentially all survivors, some striking incompleteness is seen Maximilian's hair and the reverse shield, but it is of little visual detriment. An important issue from this ephemeral period and of great significance for the collector of Mexican crown by type.
Estimate: 5000-6000 USD
