Stanislaus Augustus 1/2 Taler 1792 MV AU53 NGC, Warsaw Mint, KM211, Parchimowicz-1227b, Kopicki-2449, H-Cz 5340. Obv. Bust of King Stanislaus Augustus right. Rev. Crowned arms with date above and M-V (Monetaria Varsoviensis). Extremely rare, and the tiny mintage of only 186 pieces. Possibly the finest known of this conditionally rare issue, and we can find no record of any other example even close to the condition of this lovely piece. The strike is sharp, and the surfaces display considerable luster beneath the rich gray patina, with no flaws worthy of mention.
