Nicholas II Proof 50 Kopecks 1909 PR65 PCGS, St. Petersburg mint, Bit-88 (R1), KM-Y58.2, Severin-4140. Obv. Bust of Nicholas II left. Rev. Crowned double-headed eagle with date and value. The strike is bold, and the fields deeply mirrored. The obverse displays mottled reddish-gold and cobalt-blue toning, while the reverse has a light golden tint. An extreme rare issue in Mint State, and Proof. No examples have been certified finer than Proof 65 by either PCGS, or NGC.
