Maussolos, circa 377/6-353/2 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 22mm, 15.29 g 1), Halikarnassos. Laureate head of Apollo facing, turned slightly to right and with drapery fastened by a clasp below his chin. Rev. ΜΑΥΣΣΩΛΛΟ Zeus Labraundos standing right, holding labrys in his right hand and long scepter in his left; in field to left, ligate ME. Hurter, Pixodaros, 39 var. A coin of great beauty and of exceptionally fine style. Beautifully toned and very well preserved. Very rare in this condition. Extremely fine.
