Tarentum. Circa 276-272 BC. Hemistater (Gold, 14mm, 4.27 g 1). Head of youthful Herakles in lion-skin headdress to right. Rev. [ΤΑΡΑΝΤΙΝΩΝ] (partly visible) Ephebe driving galloping biga to right; above to right ΣΩΚ. Fischer-Bossert G 33. HN III 985. Vlasto 29. Rare. An attractive, clear and nicely centered example. Very minor marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
