Leontini. Circa 430-425 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26mm, 17.92 g 3). Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΛEONTINON Head of a lion with open jaws to right; around, four barley grains. Boehringer, Leontinoi, 63 & SNG ANS 255 & SNG Oxford 1798 (all from the same dies). Nicely toned and from a rare obverse die with a head of Apollo of particularly fine style. Nearly extremely fine.
