Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25mm, 14.46 g 10), Amphipolis, struck c. 315/4-295/4. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Young jockey, holding palm branch and reins, riding horse to right; below horse, thunderbolt over Ζ; below horse's foreleg, dolphin to right. Le Rider pl. 48, 5. An attractive, very well-centered piece. Extremely fine.
