Franz Joseph I Proof 2 Taler 1857-A PR65 Cameo NGC, Vienna mint, wreath tips between "KA," engraved by Carl Radnitzky, KM2246.1, Dav-20, Herinek-821. With a dramatic cameo contrast, this marvelously toned example exhibits deep golden shades highlighted by accents of blues throughout the fields. A few minuscule traces of cabinet friction are noted at the peaks of relief on the frosted bust, but the surfaces appear otherwise pristine. This type was struck in commemoration of the completion of the South Austrian Railway between Vienna and Trieste.From the Cape Coral Collection of Multiple Talers
