X (Atkins p.27, 10; D&H Essex 9); obv Colchester Castle, the castle extends to the edge on the left, edge plain, not in collar (Atkins p.27, 11c; D&H Essex 10d). First from the fractured obverse die, extremely fine, second better than extremely fine and very rare. (2)
