BRITISH 18TH CENTURY TOKENS, ENGLAND, Abraham Seward, (1757-1823), brass and bell-founder, Market Street, Lancaster, Gilt-copper Penny, 1794, obv a castle, LANCASTER CASTLE above, L of LANCASTER nearly touches tree on the left, rev Lancaster bridge, LANCASTER BRIDGE above, A . SEWARD . 1794 in exergue, E of BRIDGE barely touches the building, edge plain (Conder p.55, 2; Atkins p.55, 2; D&H Lancashire 2). Minor blemishes and brush marks, otherwise nearly good extremely fine and retaining some brilliance, very rare in gilt-copper.
