D&H 319 ex Hamer Collection

D&H 315 appears to be struck from a lightly rusted obverse die, the line of the cowl does not extend to the bridge of the nose. Light die polish is evident on D&H 316 as well as a long vertical line in the right field extending from the double acorns downward, although some die rust is still evident around the second inside acorn on the right. No die rust is evident on D&H 317 and D&H 318. The obverse die used for D&H 319 has a distinctive die flaw (as noted from near the rim at 7 o'clock upwards through the second outside acorn to the spur). This is the same as D&H 332 and, as such, is rather common, not very rare. D&H 332 should thus be delisted.
Williams effectively gained control of the entire operations of the Parys Mountain and, later, the Cornish Metal Company, giving him a near monopoly over the development and production of copper and the copper trade in Great Britain.

Estimate: £200-300
