ITALY, Venezia (Venice). 17th century. PB Theriac box seal (25mm, 9.96 g). Uncertain pharmacopia, possibly Sicilian(?). [...] TERIACA F ALLA [...], crowned eagle with wings spread, head left / Blank. U. Klein. "Von Paradies zu Paradies: Theriak und Theriak-Kapseln," SM 218 (June 2005), 35-42, –. Near VF.
The important portion of the legend is unfortunately unreadable, but the crowned eagle device is similar to that on Sicilian coins of the period.
