People's Republic gold Peacock Proof 1500 Yuan (20 oz) 1993 PR68 Ultra Cameo NGC, KM601, Cheng page 139, #1. Housed in an NGC jumbo holder, with the original box (somewhat worn), case, and COA # 26. A huge gold issue, with a tiny mintage of only 66 pieces. The devices are heavily frosted and the fields deeply mirrored. No significant flaws are noted and this is the first example we have offered of this very rare, oversized, gold issue. China Pricepedia records the last sale of this issue in 2011, where a PR69 certified example brought $406,300.
