COLOMBIA: Carlos III, 1759-1788, AV 8 escudos, 1770-PN, KM-38.2, Fr-24, Restrepo-70.20, assayer J, fully struck, no other specimens on NGC census, NGC graded EF45, R. Upon the second establishment of the Viceroyalty of New Granada in 1739, some other territories of northwestern South America were absorbed, including most of what is today's Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. The capital was located in Bogotá and became one of the main administrative centers of the New World.
