Anonymous (attributed to Constantine IX). Ca. 1042-1055. AE follis (31.14 mm, 9.52 g, 7 h). Constantinople mint. IC-XC, Christ seated facing on throne with back, with nimbate cross, pallium and colobium, holding book of Gospels with both hands / IS XS/bASILЄ/bASIL in three lines. SBV 1836; DOC p. 685-7. good VF for type, nice, smooth, even brown surfaces.
