Guerrilla Military silver Medal ND (1822) AU, 40x36.5mm/17.26g. Obv. EL / VALOR / ES MI / DIVISA. Rev. Radiant sun at center, with A LAS PARTIDAS DE GUERRILLA around. A very rare medal, and given the similarity of its radiant star design to Fonrobert-8995, likely given to a soldier in Jose de San Martin's army that fought and eventually won Peru's independence from Spain. Only the second example of this type we have encountered, with the other piece being part of an online catalog reference of Argentine coins and medals at www.moviarg.com.
