Victoria silver Proof Pattern Florin 1848 PR63 Cameo NGC, Royal mint, S-3890, ESC-2917, Plain Edge. A second example of the plain edge with the adopted design. Obv. Crowned Gothic portrait of Queen Victoria left. Rev. Crowned cruciform shields with value ONE-FLORIN, ONE TENTH-Of A POUND, in the legend. Reflective fields, with heavily frosted devices. Both sides exhibit lead-gray toning, with blue and gold highlights. Close examination reveals numerous small marks in the obverse fields, with edge bumps on both sides.
