Nicholas II Proof Rouble 1896-★ PR63 NGC, Paris mint, Bitkin-193, Sev-4034, KM-Y59.2. Obv. Portrait of Nicholas II left. Rev. Crowned double-headed eagle, holding orb and scepter, with date and value below. Fully lustrous, with a touch of golden patina. The strike is bold and the proof surfaces display a spectacular mirrored, and satiny, appearance. An extremely rare Proof issue. Only two examples have been certified in Proof, this piece and a PR64 sold by the Goldberg's in 2008.
