CHINA. Kweichow. Dollar, Year 38 (1949). PCGS VF-35 Secure Holder.
L&M-612; K-758; Y-433; WS-1112. Round Window. RARE. Struck during the highly turbulent year 1949. The coin offered here was one of the last produced prior to the Communist victory in October of 1949. Much like the earlier designed Kweichow Auto Dollar struck in 1928, the Bamboo Dollar is universally considered one of the best world crown designs of the entire 20th century, and is highly desirable as such. A coin that is as attractive as it is rare, all of the intended design is fully exhibited on both sides, with the pavilion fabulously rendered in exquisite detail. A spectacular piece which is sure to draw considerable attention. Well struck and lightly toned. PCGS VF-35 Secure Holder.

Estimate: $25000.00- $35000.00
