Obv: John V on horseback right, his head and torso facing, nimbate and wearing crown with pendillia, holding long cross transversely in right hand; in upper field IWE / XW on left, O / ΠΛ on right; in larger letters B behind and A before horse. Rx: John VI on horseback right, same type and legend as on obverse except that the large letters flanking the horse are E - Φ. LPC p. 144, 7. Bendall, PCPC 292. Sear 2532. Extremely rare, apparently only the second specimen known, and the better preserved of the two.
