Commemorative Silver
1938 50C Texas MS67+ PCGS. CAC. The kneeling visage of the goddess Victory embraces numerous Texas icons on the reverse of this 1938 Texas Centennial half. Yearly mintages from 1934 to 1938 culminated in a net distribution of 3,780 pieces, of which just one coin is numerically finer than this high-end Superb Gem at PCGS. Remarkably well-struck on both sides of the complicated Coppini design, this example resonates with brilliant satin luster and hints of lilac and gold patina. Population: 5 in 67+, 1 finer. CAC: 34 in 67, 1 finer (2/17).
