Afghanistan Bank of Afghanistan 500 Afghanis ND (1939) Pick 27s Specimen. A colorful example from the first issue for the bank. The central vignette is a portrait of King Muhammad Zahir. This is the second rarest denomination for the series eclipsed by the 20 Afghanis denomination and is the first specimen that we have handled for this issue. PMG has mentioned a small paper pull which is not readily discernable but they have also added the comment "Good Color" to its holder of this pretty oversized note. PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
