Printed by the United States Bureau of Engraving and Printing, this is a proof impression of the black ink portion of the face design printed directly on cardstock. This proof rounds out all the final details that were printed in black ink on the issued notes. The grading service indicates this is a Progress Proof as it is a perfect accompaniment to the proof in the lot before this, it is in fact a complete design proof. We believe the pair offered here are unique, based on a lack of other known examples and the tight controls the U.S. BEP had on releasing items from its production archives.
