Trinidad and Tobago Government of Trinidad And Tobago $1 1.4.1905 Pick 1b. A very elusive example. These first notes of the design are the kings of the series, with Pick 1a with the coat of arms in black and this Pick 1b having 1905 issue dates. The next variety, Pick 1c, has 1924 and later issue dates. Undoubtedly, these first few notes were circulated heavily before the next was introduced, especially in such an unforgiving climate. An example in similar grade realized $3,754.80 in an overseas auction in April 2016. This example which faces up very well and with a solid grade is expected to bring more interest.
