EPEIROS, Federal coinage of the Epirote Republic. Circa 234/3-168 BC. Drachm (Silver, 20mm, 4.93 g 3), Dodona. Head of Zeus of Dodona to right, wearing wreath of oak leaves; behind head, monogram of ΕΚ. Rev. ΑΠΕΙ - ΡΩΤΑΝ Eagle with closed wings standing right on thunderbolt; all within oak wreath. Franke Group II, Series 32 ff. Nicely toned. Minor marks and scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
